A witty and observant English diplomat once said that he was
always greatly interested in seei~ two Germans meet for the first
time in watching to see which one would treat the other 1 ike a dog.
Is there any difference in this respect between the Germans and
any other nationality, other than that the Germans as a rule are
more brutally frank than other nationalities in their ftl)e-el.ioDI?
Wherever two or more human beings &ssemblet it is inevitable that
one will assume dominance over the other ,0 r others and that the other
or others will accord to him the position, not only of leader, but
dominator -- actual nlaster.
As nature abhors a. vacuum, man abhors equality.
