BOLS1ililVISli
=================================
I really do not know wllat Bolsllevism is. I have read that it is not
Sooialism ana. that it is not Col1JlllUllism nor ~ehism nor ~iiealism.
I believe the first principle of the lIiam" is that ouly those who labor __
principally those who use their muscles -- are to ·be perm1tted to talre a:n:r part
in the govermnent or to own property. I believe that it is similar to Syn4ioalism
in that those who work in faotorie9 or mil1as or on farms or Gn 8hips or eo
ma.ke use Of a:D.J' form of producers t capital shall (JW'll all of' these thi:ngs or at
least own the things produced by their labor a.dded to such capital.
I remember reading in "!mle Libera.tor" that Lenine, the :B:tlSSi&n d1otatw,
does reoogn.ize mental labor, espeoially the labGr of managi:ng industries.
I ha.ve reaci a. great deal. of' what the E'agenists have written and mueh more

eomillcing of this atter sort of writers is Professor IngersGll.
I have read Professor Conn's book on Sooial Heredity and a DUm"oar of other
writers who 1l;'@h&ld the pr1noiple U1at the peo-aliar traits of' most :men a:re ra.tkler
the result of environment, training and education, than of bare heredity.
Dr. G. .Ar~ll Reid, tlu:l ~ of Whose principa.1 book I have forgotten, was
to me the mest oo:nv1l1ciDg writ~ antaeonisillg the extren» her&4itists. One stateDleilt
of Reid's I recall. He first (leseribed the E:D.g11sh stu1re as 'oe1n.g the "best
