Description	McVey Cottage, located near the corner of South College Street and East Union Street, was built between the late 1800s to early 1900 as a private residence for the McVey family. The buildings from left to right are the (current) college bookstore, Pilcher House, O'Bleness Cottage, McVey Cottage, Student Union, and Howard Hall. The Alumni Gateway can be seen in the bottom right portion of the image. McVey Cottage was the home of OU President William Henry Scott. The building was known as the Men's Faculty Club or the Men's Union for a number of years (ca. 1927-ca. 1947) and also renamed McVey Cottage in 1948. The building was demolished in ca. 1951 to make room for the new Student Center, which subsequently became known as John Calhoun Baker University Center (Old).
